Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in financial
reporting processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management, incorporating revenue projections, expense estimates, and capital expenditures.
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost optimization and
budget reallocation as needed.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment disbursement,customer invoicing, and collections management.
- Review aging reports, monitor outstanding balances, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely
cash flow management and minimize bad debt risks.
- Tax Planning and Compliance: Coordinate with tax advisors and legal counsel to develop tax planning strategies, minimize tax liabilities, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to the NBFC sector.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, GST, and TDS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
in compliance.
- Audit and Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and internal audit teams to facilitate annual audits, reviews, and examinations of financial records and internal controls.
- Implement recommendations from audit findings and ensure remedial actions are taken to address control
deficiencies and improve financial processes. - Financial Systems and Controls: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, controls, and procedures to safeguard
company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure data integrity. - Continuously assess and enhance internal controls and processes to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and
compliance in financial operations. - Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to
ensure high-quality work output, adherence to deadlines, and professional development. - Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the accounting team, promoting teamwork,
accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with specific experience in the NBFC sector
preferred. - Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
applicable to NBFCs. - Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques, with strong analytical and problem-solving
skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all
levels. - Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve
goals and objectives.
