Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Compilation: Collect data from various sources, including internal systems, databases, and external vendors, related to collections activities, delinquencies, and recoveries.
- Compile and consolidate data into standardized formats and databases to facilitate analysis and reporting.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze collections data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in collections processes delinquency rates, and recovery rates.
- Prepare and generate regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics to track collections
performance, monitor key metrics, and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections operations, including delinquency rates, recovery rates, aging analysis, and portfolio quality.
- Track and analyze performance data to assess the effectiveness of collections strategies and initiatives and
identify opportunities for optimization.
- Forecasting and Predictive Analytics: Develop forecasting models and predictive analytics to anticipate future collections trends, identify potential risks, and forecast recovery outcomes.
- Utilize statistical techniques and data modeling to analyze historical data and predict future collections
performance.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with collections managers and operations teams to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks,
and opportunities for improvement. - Recommend and implement process optimization initiatives, automation solutions, and best practices to streamline collections operations and enhance efficiency.
- Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of collections data by implementing data validation checks, data cleansing processes, and quality control measures.
- Establish data governance frameworks and standards to maintain data quality and consistency across systems and databases.
- System Enhancement and Integration: Work with IT teams and vendors to enhance collections systems, databases, and reporting tools to meet
evolving business requirements. - Support the integration of data from disparate systems and sources to create a unified view of collections
performance and outcomes. - Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with collections managers, senior management, and cross-functional teams to share insights, present findings, and make recommendations based on data analysis.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to nontechnical stakeholders
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, statistics, or related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in MIS, data analysis, or business intelligence roles, with a focus on collections operations, preferably in the financial services industry or NBFC sector.
- Strong proficiency in data management tools and technologies, including SQL, Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets, extract meaningful insights, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of collections processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in the NBFC sector.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity, with the ability to maintain high standards of data quality and consistency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
