Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to oversee and manage the Profit and Loss (P&L), Financial Reporting, and Taxation functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial management, regulatory compliance, and tax policies while ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of financial performance. This position plays a crucial role in driving financial efficiency and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

P&L Management:

  1. Oversee the preparation and analysis of P&L statements to assess the company’s financial performance.
  2. Monitor revenue, cost structures, and profitability across all business units.
  3. Collaborate with department heads to identify and address variances in budgets and forecasts.
  4. Develop strategies to improve margins, control costs, and enhance financial performance.

Financial Reporting:

  1. Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  2. Comply with accounting standards (IND-AS, IFRS, or GAAP) in financial reporting.
  3. Provide insights and analysis of financial data to support decision-making by the leadership team.
  4. Present financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and board members.

Taxation and Compliance:

  1. Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, corporate taxes, and other statutory filings.
  2. Ensure timely filing of all tax returns and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants for audits, assessments, and dispute resolutions.
  4. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.

Internal Controls and Audits:

  1. Implement robust internal controls to ensure data accuracy and mitigate financial risks.
  2. Lead internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  3. Address audit observations and implement corrective measures where necessary.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  1. Collaborate with the finance team to prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  2. Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Support strategic planning initiatives with financial insights and projections.

Team Leadership:

  1. Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering growth and performance.
  2. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the timely completion of deliverables.
  3. Build a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, or MBA in Finance are highly preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years in finance and accounting, with a focus on P&L management, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting standards (IND-AS, IFRS).
  • Strong expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and tax laws.

Soft Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
