Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects and initiatives, including software development, system implementations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines, developing detailed project plans and
schedules to ensure alignment with business goals and priorities.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and senior management, to gather requirements, define project objectives, and obtain buy-in for project initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, communication, and engagement throughout the project lifecycle,
providing regular updates and addressing concerns proactively.
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including developers, analysts, testers, and vendors, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to project team members, fostering a collaborative and highperforming team culture.
- Resource Allocation and Budget Management: Allocate resources effectively, including human resources, equipment, and budget, to support project activities and achieve project objectives within budget constraints.
- Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization, identifying variances and implementing
corrective actions as needed to ensure financial control and accountability.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions and delays.
- Proactively monitor project risks and dependencies, escalating issues as needed to senior management and
stakeholders for resolution. - Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements in IT project
deliverables and processes. - Implement quality assurance processes, including testing, validation, and acceptance criteria, to ensure the
reliability, performance, and security of IT systems and solutions. - Change Management: Manage change effectively by anticipating, planning for, and addressing resistance to change within project
stakeholders and end-users. - Communicate changes, impacts, and benefits of IT projects to stakeholders, promoting user adoption and
engagement throughout the organization. - Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in project management practices, methodologies, and tools, incorporating
lessons learned and best practices into future projects. - Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation in IT systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in IT project management roles, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, using industry-standard methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop cross-functional project teams.
- Technical expertise in IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, with knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT service management (ITSM) processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
