Key Responsibilities
- Collections Strategy: Develop and implement collections strategies and policies to optimize recovery rates and minimize delinquencies within the state.
- Define collection targets, performance metrics, and action plans to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of collection managers, executives, and support staff within the state.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to the team to ensure adherence to collections processes and best
practices.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections performance, including delinquency rates, recovery rates, and portfolio quality.
- Analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement strategies to improve collections effectiveness
and efficiency.
- Process Optimization: Continuously review and optimize collections processes, workflows, and systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Identify opportunities for automation, technology adoption, and process improvements to drive operational
efficiency.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio health and identify high-risk accounts for proactive collections interventions.
- Implement strategies for segmenting accounts based on risk profiles and prioritizing collections efforts
accordingly.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards in collections activities.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance within the
state. - Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit, operations, and legal teams, to coordinate
collections efforts and resolve issues. - Liaise with external stakeholders, such as collection agencies and legal partners, to support collections activities and maximize recovery efforts.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and updates on collections performance, trends, and strategies for senior
management and stakeholders. - Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in collections management roles within the financial services industry, preferably in twowheeler financing.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of leading collections teams and driving results.
- In-depth knowledge of collections practices, regulations, and compliance requirements in the financial services sector.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to drive collections performance and strategy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to develop and execute collections strategies to achieve business objectives.
