Responsibilities and Duties
- Credit Policy Development: Develop and implement credit policies and underwriting guidelines specific to the two-wheeler financing segment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory
requirements. - Credit Assessment: Oversee the credit evaluation process, including reviewing loan applications, analyzing financial documents, assessing borrower creditworthiness, and making lending decisions based on
established criteria. - Risk Management: Identify and mitigate credit risks associated with lending activities, including credit concentration, default probability, and portfolio quality, implementing risk mitigation strategies to maintain
a healthy loan portfolio. - Underwriting Standards: Establish underwriting standards and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in evaluating loan applications, while maintaining appropriate levels of due diligence.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the credit and underwriting team within the designated zone, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for underwriters and credit analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge in credit assessment, underwriting practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Relationship Management: Collaborate with sales teams, dealerships, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient loan origination processes, address inquiries, and resolve issues related to credit and underwriting.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices in credit and underwriting activities, conducting periodic audits and reviews to maintain
compliance. - Portfolio Analysis: Monitor portfolio performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in credit and underwriting, exploring opportunities for process optimization, automation, and
enhancement of customer experience.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- X+ years of experience in credit risk management, underwriting, and lending operations, with a focus on twowheeler financing within the NBFC sector.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis techniques, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements governing the two-wheeler financing industry.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, drive performance, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, assess credit risk, and make sound lending decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with loan origination systems and credit evaluation tools.
