We love our classic brands here in India.

Reliable motorcycles which have been seen by generations, and have found a household name for themselves. And though some of these classics are still going strong today, like Bajaj and Hero Honda; Some have been lost to time.

And yet, one of those has made a blitzing comeback this year.

Yezdi, the two-wheeler brand, has been revived for the Indian market after 26 years since it last closed down operations!

Part of a revival operation by Classic Legends, a unit owned by Mahindra Group, Yezdi is the third brand that has been brought back.

TheYezdi Roadster, Scrambler and Adventure motorcycles are the ones headlining the company’s comeback portfolio as they go up against rivals like Royal Enfield, KTM and Honda in India.

The motorcycles are aimed to target riders looking for regular commute as well as those willing to take off-beat roads. The price of the motorcycles start from ₹1.98 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹2.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

Launched for the first time back in 1961, Yezdi isn’t exactly new to the Indian market. However, since its last stint of operations back in 1996, the market scenario in the country has changed to an unrecognizable extent.

Consumer demands and needs, manufacturing processes, and above all, marketing;
Yezdi have their work cut out for them here. But if there’s anyone who can do it, it’s the brand with a history of more than 30 years in operations.
